| A Brief History The history of Jumpin’ Jack’s Pro Speed begins with, “Jumpin” Jack Johnson, a legendary dirt track modified racecar driver. Johnson, a full time racer, realizes the need for a speed parts supplier and establishes the business in the spring of 1980. A transition occurring in 1990 puts control of the business into the hands of Jack’s son Ronnie Johnson, an established racer himself. Currently, Ronnie relies on manager “Uncle” Jeff Johnson and Pat DaBiere to handle the “day to day” operations of Jumpin’ Jack’s Pro Speed. Profiles Jack Johnson, the legendary racecar driver from Duanesburg NY has been racing and winning since 1967. Racking up well over 400 feature wins, on 33 different racetracks throughout the country. He is the all time modified feature winner at both, The Fonda Speedway and Albany-Saratoga Speedway. In addition to his impressive win list he has held track championships at Fonda Speedway, Albany-Saratoga, Brewerton, Cayuga County, Utica-Rome and Rolling Wheels Raceway. Jack has also won several series championships stretching from 1972 right through 2004 and is ready to embark on yet another season of dirt track modified racing in 2005. He brings almost 40 years of racing experience to the company he started back in 1980. Team owners, drivers, sponsors, promoters, officials and fans often call upon Jack, due to his extensive knowledge of racecar set-ups, parts, accessories, equipment and his life long commitment to the business of motor sports. Ronnie Johnson has spent practically his whole life at a racetrack, working on racecars, watching and learning. That knowledge came in handy when taking over the reigns of “the family business” in 1990. Today Ronnie is a multi-time feature winner and a former track champion in dirt style modified racecars of the northeast. With a wealth of knowledge on the dirt style modified, intimate knowledge of the bolt-on accessories, and set-up knowledge that is second to none. Ronnie is regularly “first call” to many of today’s area drivers and crew chiefs, looking for “a winning edge.” Jeff Johnson is a long time crewmember and racer. Assisting his famous brother Jack since “the coupe days” to the present. Jeff is the manager of operations at Jumpin’ Jack’s Pro Speed and handles: sales, purchasing, customer relations, set-up information, shipping and receiving. Jeff possesses has an excellent knowledge of the modern dirt modified style racecar and has an extensive knowledge of the bolt-on accessories necessary to win. An accomplished racer in his own right with years of kart racing experience, Jeff knows what it’s like to be “in the drivers seat.” Pat DaBiere is also a second-generation modified racecar driver. Pat grew up watching Jack Johnson win races throughout the northeast, and became the inspiration for pursuing his own racing career. Pat possesses a wealth of knowledge about dirt style modified set-ups, has an extensive knowledge of bolt-on accessories and stays current on racing safety equipment. With an educational back round in business management and marketing Pat handles: sales, internet sales, marketing, customer relations, set-up information, product research, shipping and receiving. |
